Omawumi Visits Kenyatta National Hospital

 Award-winning Nigerian musician and Mortein Doom brand ambassador Omawumi Megbele on Friday visited the Kenyatta National Hospital maternity wing where she engaged with over 50..
new mothers and close to 100 pregnant women. The visit was part of her two-day tour to raise awareness on the need to fight malaria and the collaborative use of insecticide treated nets and other preventive measures and treatments including use of consumer insecticide sprays.
Speaking during the visit, Mortein Doom brand manager Sheila Chyne said, "We have been engaging in awareness initiatives in collaboration with the Ministry of Health among other stakeholders in the fight against malaria and we are impressed by the tremendous improvements we have made."
Since breaking into the limelight in 2007, Omawumi has been involved in a number of causes including starring in V-Monologue - a play that talks about the negative issues affecting women in Nigeria. She has been actively involved in advocating for zero tolerance for all forms of violence against women and young girls in partnership with Project Alert in Nigeria.
